Stars are often thought to be cold—
distant, untouchable, quiet.
Yet the unicorn felt their temperature.
Not by reaching out,
but by sensing
the density of light in the night.
Stars are neither warm nor cold.
They simply keep a steady distance.
That distance creates ease.
The unicorn knows
that light does not need closeness
to illuminate the heart.
After feeling the temperature,
the unicorn looks away from the sky.
The stars remain.
That is enough.
星は冷たいと思われがちだ。
遠く、触れられず、静かだから。
けれどユニコーンは、その温度を確かめた。
手を伸ばすのではなく、
感じ取る。
夜に滲む光の密度を。
星は、熱くも冷たくもない。
ただ、一定の距離を保っている。
その距離が、安心を生む。
ユニコーンは知っている。
近づきすぎない光も、
十分に心を照らすことを。
温度を確かめ終えると、
ユニコーンは空を見上げるのをやめる。
星はそこにある。
それでいい。
